OPT3006: PCB Cutout dimension

Hi E2E,

Good day.

Our customer would like to know the PCB Cutout dimension for the OPT3006YMFR since the details are not in the datasheet.

    Hi Carlo,

    For this cutout, longer dimension is not as important since it will be far from the sensor area. For the shorter dimension (horizontal in the diagram) you will want to get as close to the pads as possible for best performance. The manufacturing tolerance will be the main limiting factor here. We provide a FoV estimator tool online for checking performance of different cutout dimensions - this is on the OPT3006 page online.
