DCA1000EVM: FTDI Driver 32/64 bit installation

I have re-installed mmWave Studio and this shows two versions of the FTDI drivers ( 32and 64 bit). I Browse for drivers and receive a consistent message as follows:

" Windows found drivers for your device but an error occurred while attempting to install them. since my Laptop is 64 bit I thinkthis driver should be chosen but I have not been able to run in the administration to make the choice. I am running Windows 10 and have not found a straightforward way to run Studio in Amin mode. Is there a simpler way to load the 64bit drivers or is there a different reason for the failure?

Thanks for the input

II have tried a number of things and managed to disable the Bit Locker feature in Windows10 so that I can install unsigned drivers. Tried many times and still have problems and stuck..

The new message is:

"Windows found drivers but encountered an error while attempting to install them.

AR-DevPack-EVM-012D

A problem was encountered while attempting to add the driver to the store.

If you know the manufacturer of the device you can visit their website and check the support section for drivers".

I do not know what this means as I am trying to install the drivers to the device , any advice?

Lincoln,

I would recommend trying this on a different laptop. You may have some enterprise settings that are preventing the installation of the FTDI drivers. I would look in the Device Manager and make sure all six ports show up. Make sure you are not connecting the DCA1000 through a passive USB hub.

Thanks. I have tried on my Desktop and the same issues. I have spoken with FTDI and still having problems.

I see the two ports for the AWR1642 under COM &LPT WITH PORT NUMBERS four ports for the DCA 1000 under OTHER DEVICES . without number per the User Guide.. Maybe the device is defective, it should not be this difficult,

I managed to check the status of the drivers and the security certificates have expired. This is why they can not be installed on the device . Is there a way for me to use these drivers, or do I have to download new ones, will the WHQLD2Xx with VCP suffice?
