RTOS/SITARA-DDR-CONFIG-TOOL: NONE!!!

Part Number: SITARA-DDR-CONFIG-TOOL

Tool/software: TI-RTOS

HEY!    Why doesn't this site let you PASTE IN CODE??

How completely USELESS is an "E2E" Site, if you  YOU CAN'T EVEN PASTE SAMPLE CODE??

All it does is ERASE THE BIG LONG REPLY I TYPED, so ALL your work IS GONE.   YES GONE!!!

Then it pops up a message that says AN ERROR OCCURRED, TRY AGAIN.  Gee...  thanks.

And there is NO PLACE to actually tell anyone that THIS FORUM web site is DEFECTIVE.

Does anyone at TI ever TEST this stuff???

I had to pick a RANDOM device, in order to get to be able to complain...  In the (lost cause) that I can get through to someone who admins this thing.

  • hi Chris,

We apologize for the inconvenience caused and that you were dis-satisfied with the e2e site experience, specifically the "Paste code" feature. I will try to help and provide guidance on how to paste code along with some examples, so hopefully that'll help:
    1. In order to use the rich text editor on this site which allows you to attach files, paste code etc, you need to click "Insert code, Attach files and more link" which appears when you click the "Reply" button, as shown in the attached image:

    2. Once in that editor, you need to select the "Insert code using the Syntaxhighlighter" button as shown in attached image:

    3. You can also just paste your code in the normal/plain editor without using the syntaxhighlighter or rich text mode and it should show up as text. You may need to copy it into notepad first and then copy/paste into our editor, but it should work fine.

    4. Please see examples of other threads/users that have used both these methods (plain text and rich text+syntaxhighlighter) to paste code:

    5. I am also trying to understand this problem statement you mentioned: "All it does is ERASE THE BIG LONG REPLY I TYPED, so ALL your work IS GONE. Then it pops up a message that says AN ERROR OCCURRED, TRY AGAIN".
    a. Can you please let me know the steps you performed on this site that made this happen?
    b. What kind of editor was used?
    c. Which button(s) did you click after which this happened?
    d. Am I correct in assuming that you pasted code in plain text mode and clicked reply and this error happened?
    e. Please provide some screenshots that help provide the steps taken so we can duplicate the issue.

Please let us know if the suggestions above work when you try to paste code to help address the issue or if I am missing something else completely with regards to your question.

Also, I've moved this thread to the site support forum which is a more appropriate forum to discuss the concern you brought up.
Look forward to hearing from you to help resolve the issue.

    Thanks,

    Harman
