Protecting the slave from back power.

I am connecting a slave through PCIe for a master. Master will give power to slave only after its complete configuration. How to protect the slave from Back power caused by I2C pull-up resistors mounted at master side? Please help me.

  • Chandrashekhar,

If your slave is being back powered by the I2C pull-up resistors I would recommend bring up the I2C supply voltage after "complete configuration". (This is the complete configuration of the master, correct?) How did you confirm that the slave is being back powered from the SDA and SCL lines?
