TS5A2066: Off Isolation data in high frequency

Part Number: TS5A2066
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMUX136

Hi,

TS5A2066 datasheet said the Off Isolation is -68dB for 10MHz. What is the data for 1GHz and 10GHz? Will the data be better or worse than 10MHz?

Thanks!

- Rocky

  • Rocky,

The off isolation across frequency can be seen in the graph on page 15 of the datasheet.  You can see that the isolation is less as frequency increases which is due to the parasitic feedthrough capacitance.

1GHz and 10Ghz is outside of the operating conditions of this device with 300MHz bandwidth.  You can expect the isolation to be less as the frequency increases.

Why do you need to know the isolation outside the recommended operation of the device?

Do you need a higher performing switch like the 6Ghz TMUX136?

    Thank you,

    Adam
