Part Number: TS3A5018

I planned to use the following 4xSPDT Analog switch for I2S interface switching purpose.

TS3A5018RGYR
Please suggest whether this part is fine or not with I2S interface.
And how will 10 ohms internal resistance impacts in the signal strength?
  • Hi Munneeswaran,
    The TMUX1574 is a 4-ch 2:1 that I would recommend for I2S. -- It has high bandwidth (1.5GHz) & low Ron (2-ohm typ, 4.5ohm max)

  • Muneeswaran,

The TS3A5018 has the voltage (3.3 V) and the bandwidth (200MHz) able to support the I2S signals.

The I2S is a low current digital signal so the voltage drop of the 10 ohm on-state resistance will not be an issue in the system.  As Ravi mentioned above there is a newer TMUX1574 device that will fit well in this application.

Here is an example of the calculation.

    Thank you,

    Adam

    Hi Ravi,

    Thanks for your part suggestion.

    Dear Adam,

Thanks for your detailed explanation with example.
