Part Number: TS5A22362
I need to have SPDT switches in my application. Previously I chose the TS5A22364 switch and got into a huge mess with my circuit because when the unconnected leg goes to ground via a shunt resistor!
I looked up the TS5A22362 switch and at least in the datasheet it says there is no shunt resistor, so do I assume that the unconnected leg will remain unconnected and NOT go to ground?
I forgot to mention earlier, the main criterior to use these chips is their negative rail capability.
We are glad that we were able to resolve this issue, and will now proceed to close this thread.

That is correct, the TS5A22362 has no shunt switch to ground. This was added to the TS5A22364 reduce pop noises in audio applications when switching sources.
The unconnected leg will be floating if no Input is connected. Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks a million Ambroise, that would suit me well then :)
I cant tell you how the shun resistor messed up my switching board! Its not the target application for that switch, so I guess I was rather short sighted in choosing the 64.
