SN74LVC1G66: Vlogic support down to 1.8V, with Vdd of 3V??

Part Number: SN74LVC1G66

Hello,

I was looking at using the SN74LVC1G66 instead of a load switch to shut off power because my application only pulls 10mA of power and I saw this device can handle up to 100mA MAX.

However, upon further inspection, I noticed that if I use a VCC of 3V, my Vlogic of 1.8V is below the Vcc*0.7 for VIH.

Can you suggest a device which will allow me to use the 3V Vcc/VIO, but control it using 1.8V logic?

Thanks,

Louie

  • Louie,

The two solutions I found are the TS5A12301E or the TS5A6542.

What do you think about using these?

    Thank you,
    Adam

    Hello Adam,

As Both of those devices are SPDT, does TI have any plans in the future to create a 1:1 switch which will support 1.8V logic at 3Vcc/VIO?

    Thank you,
    Louie

    Louie,

Yes, TI is continually in the process of improving its portfolio offering to its customers.

    Thank you,
    Adam
