TS3A226AE how to identify selfie stick ?

The selfie stick's diagram as below picture. It is a fake four segment type earphone: MIC, GND, L (0 Ω) R (0 Ω).

and the TS3A226AE recognize selfie stick as the three segment type headphones. the stick can not use without MIC pin .

How to judge the selfie stick as a four segment type headphone?

In the diagram you show that L and R are not connected to anything in the selfie stick. If L and R are not connected to anything, the resistance R to ground and L to ground would be open and not 0 ohms. If the resistance of L and R to ground are open, the TS3226AE will not be able to detect the selfie stick as a 4 pole device.

Can you verify if the R and L are 0 ohms to ground or open?

Sorry, the resistance of R and L are open . So, TS3A226AE not able to detect stick as 4 pole device, right?

could you do any design to let TS3A226AE to detect stick as a 4 pole device?

Freya,

The TS3A226AE is not able to detect the selfie stick circuit seen above as 4 pole device but the TS3A225E and TS3A227E audio jack switches can support the selfie stick circuit above.
