Could TS5A23159 be employed to switch RF 13.36-MIFARE radio signals?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS5A23159

Hi, does this IC could be employed to switch RF (13,36MHz - MIFARE) radio signals?

  • Gianluca,

The TS5A23159 will be able to pass a 13.36 MHz signal without issue as long as it is within the recommended operating conditions stated in the datasheet.

The most common issue that comes up with the term "RF" signal is people are reffering to a high power signal.  Like most of our signal switches, the TS5A23159 will only be able to pass 200mA of current through the switch.

The TS5A23159 has a bandwidth of 100MHz so there will not be much attenuation at 13 MHz other than the 0.7 ohm On state resistance (Ron) insertion loss.

The TS5A23159 is also limited to voltages < Vcc on the signal path.

    Thank you,

    Adam
