Patrick,

I used the switches and multiplexers quick search tool to find several parts similar to the PI3C3384 even some pin to pin.

I searched 10 channel 1:1 SPST switches with the additional feature IOFF. IOFF feature is stating that the device is High impedance with Vcc = 0 V. I think this is what you mean by "hot insertion"

The SN74CBT3384C is p2p with the PI3C3384 device.

Hello Adam,

Below is customer schematics. SN74CBTLV3384C will be placed on mother board side. Could SN74CBTLV3384 has hot swap function for below due to PI3C3384 has hot insertion function. Thank you.

What is the meaning of "hot swap"? The SN74CBTLV3384 can have a voltage present on the signal path without a voltage on the supply pin without damage. The signal switch path will be Hi-Z if there is no voltage on the supply pin.

There will be no issue if the recommended operating conditions stated in the SN74CBTLV3384 datasheet are observed.
