TS5A3157: Vcc = 0V voltage issue

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS5A3157

Dear Team:

Our customer design HDMI 5V connect to TS5A3157 Pin1. When Vcc is off, we can measure leakage voltage on many pins as below.

Do you think whther TS5A3157 can improve ths leakage issue? Or we suggest them change it to TS5A61357, right?

  • Hi Thomas,

When the TS5A3157 is in powered off mode (Vcc = 0V) there is not protection for this device. The feature you are looking for is called powered-off protection, Icompwroff, or Ioff. This will state the maximum leakage current into your pins when Vcc=0V. Without this feature the device will behave with similar results as you provided for voltages on various pins.

TS5A61357 seems to be a good fit for the application since it includes power-off protection feature the customer needs.

I've also linked another powered-off protection e2e post that links to a few other posts on the subject.

  • Thank you so m uch, Dakotah.
