Need switching IC to reverse the polarity of DC latching solenoid

I need switching IC to reverse the polarity of DC latching solenoid of maximum operating voltage is 24 and max operating current is 1A. IC should have low quescent current and it should operate on 4.2 volt battery.

Hi Sagar,

Do you want a device that operates between 4.2V and 24V supply voltage?
Can you provide a specification for the solenoid?

Sir thanx for your reply, I have Solenoid of max operating voltage is 24 volt and min. operating voltage is 3.8, so I want to run this solenoid on 4.2volt battery and want to reverse the polarity for solenoid for latching and unlatching by using MCU control pin. So I need switch IC to make the polarity reverse between VCC and GND and which can operate on 4.2 volt battery and IC's output current upto 100 mA.

Please provide a model number for the solenoid.
Also, what is the minimum voltage seen when using the 4.2V battery?

Hunter DC latching solenoid (p/n 458200) and it can be operate on 3.7 volt minimum when using the 4.2V battery.

Hi Sagar,

I am assuming you have settled on devices that operate from 3.7 to 4.2V.

Please take a look at the DRV8834. This device can drive two latched solenoids.
For a single solenoid, the DRV8847 DRV8837 would be a good choice. (Corrected part number -- 27 May)

We do not offer a device that can operate from 3.7 to 24V. The DRV8848 comes close (4V to 18V, with the ability to drive two solenoids).
