TS5A3357: power up sequence

Part Number: TS5A3357
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS3A24159

Hi Guys,

I am urgently looking for a document that explains the power up sequencing requirements for the switch without power off protection. The document should explain VCC should be ready before analog input/output is present. My customer is to communicate internally with TI "official" recommendations.

  • Hello Fan,

Unfortunately, we do not at this time have any TI official documents/recommendations for all of our switches stating the power up sequencing requirements for the switch without power off protection.

However, if you look at datasheets of the parts without power off protection, such as the TS3A24159 and you look at the Absolute Maximum Ratings, they implicitly imply the allowed voltages as the device is powering up:

You can note from the highlighted specs that as you ramp up Vcc, the signals you have coming in and the digital control signals must follow that of Vcc or be lower than that of Vcc. This is what TI recommends for the power up sequence for our switches.

    Thank you,

    Louie
