CCS/CC-DEVPACK-DEBUG: SimpleLink SensorTag Debugger DevPack

Part Number: CC-DEVPACK-DEBUG

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

Will SimpleLink SensorTag Debugger DevPack work for CC2652 Chip?

  • Guru 130390 points

    Hi,

Given the DevPack is, in fact, a XDS110 Debug Probe that is also included in the CC2652 Launchpad board (LAUNCHXL-CC26X2R1), I don't foresee any functional incompatibility with the CC2652 device.

However, just keep in mind the physical aspects of your connection (the DevPack is rather small and is not the most friendly to connect to other boards). In this case, the aforementioned Launchpad plus an ARM 10-pin extension cable (such as this one, for example) tends to be much easier to use.

All in all, it is a matter of personal preference.

    Hope this helps,

    Rafael

    Hi,

Since you mentioned using the Launchpad, please check the section "Advanced use of the LaunchPad hardware" in its getting started documentation below to get help connecting it to external hardware.

If you are still having problems with the connection, take a note of the error you are getting and search in the document below., which contains a list, descriptions and troubleshooting tips to further investigate this.

    Hi Rafael,

    Hi,

If the power LED is always off and you think the CC2562 hardware is not working, neither the Sensor Tag DevPack nor the Launchpad connection will be able to debug this - they require the target device is fully powered and with at least a stable clock. You will have to double check all your power connections of the target device.

    Regards,
    Rafael
