CCS: Adding Packages to Resource Explorer

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

I am looking for a way to add packages (mmWave Toolbox in my case) to the Resource Explorer.

The only way I am currently aware of is to use the add additional packages button in the explorer.

This requires downloading the package from http://dev.ti.com/tirex

This seems to be very obstuctive.

Regards,

Robert

  • Robert,

The Industrial Toolbox package is available from Resource Explorer directly in CCS. Similar to dev.ti.com/tirex it is in the mmWave Sensors folder. In general the Resource Explorer in CCS shows the same content as the one on dev.ti.com.

I don't think I am understanding what you are trying to do.

    John
  • Hi John,

For some reason only a few packages show up in my resource explorer.

It was possible to add paths under properties.

I was wondering if there is a way to select packages not from my hard drive paths but from within the environment.

Just like you can select product families when running the installer.

I've posted screen captures for clarification.

  • Robert,

You are choosing to open Resource Explorer Classic instead of Resource Explorer.  Does Resource Explorer not show up on your menu?  There should be 2 menu items.

The Classic version is for old software packages.

You should be opening Resource Explorer.  Does the menu item for it not show up for you?

If you open Resource Explorer you will see the appropriate packages.

    Regards,

    John

  • I was not aware of that!
This was on CCS6 and meanwhile I am running v8.
That might have been the problem.
    Thanks
