CCS/TMS320F28377D: CCS8 can't find 28377D Control Card. Please help.

Part Number: TMS320F28377D

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi Guys, I'm using MAC OS X CCSver 8.3.0.00009 and I'm using a TMS320F28773D control card on a Docking station [R4.1].

A few years back I used to program this in Assembler on a Windows PC and it worked fine but trying it out today and CCS can't fine the control card.

In CCS DEBUG / Debug configurations / Target is set to this: Texas Instruments XDS100v2 USB Debug Probe_0/C28xx_CPU1

but when I choose debug to download my code I get this error:

Error connecting to the target:

(Error -151 @ 0x0)

One of the FTDI driver functions used during the connect

returned bad status or an error. The cause may be one or

more of: no XDS100 is plugged in, invalid XDS100 serial number,

blank XDS100 EEPROM, missing FTDI drivers, faulty USB cable.

Use the xds100serial command-line utility in the 'common/uscif'

folder to verify the XDS100 can be located.

(Emulation package 8.0.903.6)

Can someone please help so I can download my code to the control card.

Thanks guys and hope to hear from you soon.

Pete.
