CCS/TLV320ADC3101: TMS320DM368 can't identify TLV320ADC3101

when i am using DM368 to co-work with TLV320ADC3101, it can't identify the soundcard successfully

the register returned as below

 PCR = 0

 MCR =0

 SRGR =0x20000001

And the code log show as bleow

[ 1.290000] asoc: tlv320aic3x <-> davinci-i2s mapping ok

[ 1.320000] ALSA device list:

[ 1.320000] #0: DaVinci EVM (tlv320aic3x)

Does it mean the soundcard already recognized by the CPU?

However, when i type in arecord -I

it shows: no soundcards found...

so why did it happen, did it mean the registers had not been configured in the rightway?

Hi, Jerry,

Since this is a NRND device, I have limited info on it and can only suggest the following:

1) check the dts file to be sure the ALSA compatible entry is correct for the device used. If it is not compatible with the device, the driver may not be loaded.

2) arecored doesn't show any device, but ALSA shows the device is deteced. It could mean ALSA detects the playout but not the recording. Does "aplay -l" show any device?

3) If you know which driver is for record of this device, you can manually load the driver and see if it works. If it works, that will be an indication of incorrect entry of compatible in dts file.
