[FAQ] CCS: What is the best way to look up a bug?

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

You have an identifier for a bug reported against Code Composer Studio, or one of the compiler tools.  They look like CODEGEN-6757, CCSIDE-3690, or EXT_EP-9524.  What is the best way to use this identifier to find the status, or other information, regarding this bug?

  • Visit the TI Bug and Enhancement System.  Enter the bug ID in the search box on the upper right.  If the search fails, please surround the bug ID with "quotes" and try again.

Further background ... The system TI uses to maintain reports on bugs and enhancements made a transition in early 2020.  The identifiers of the newer entries all begin with EXT.  The identifiers of the older entries begin with something else.  As of this writing, finding an older entry requires surrounding the identifier with "quotes".

    Thanks and regards,
