CCS: Emulator error on Debug

Hi folks,

I've just updated CCS to v10 and been unable to download code to the dev board (28069) but JTAG doesn't work, when it did before.

I installed a previous version and similarly got an error:

C28xx: Error connecting to the target: (Error -600 @ 0x0) A required dynamic library could not be located. The library isn't on the search path. (Emulation package 5.1.232.0)

I presume as two versions of CCS no longer can download that there's driver problem. Does anyone know the root cause, and what to do to get things working?

Hi,

The Emulation package version shown in the error message is very old, thus I would focus on the CCSv10.

If the error in CCSv10 is the same, then additional details about the message and some troubleshooting tips are shown in the Debugging JTAG page below:

Hiya,

I got a slightly different error using CCS10 - 700 something (I didn't note it), either way upgrading to 10 has damaged something. It's not the kit (unless the three I tried using three USB cables are all broken, which I doubt), maybe Microsoft have done the work instead. Bizarre.
