Hi

I would like to design speaker array with 8 speakers, and intend to use TMS320C6748 now.

Does it support TDM input and with 4 channels or 8 channels output?

    I know TMS320C6748 is suppport TDM input. And how can I set the time delay for 8 speakers?

    Joan,

    Sorry for the delayed response. C6748 has multichannel audio serial port (MCASP ) that can easily support 4 and 8 channel audio configuration. The MCASP has serializers that support TDM format. If you are using I2S audio format, you will need 4 serializers. MCASP clocking is flexible and supports independent transmit and receive clock setup.

    Time delay to each element will need to be applied in firmware. There is no hardware configuration to add delay to audio output.
