Hi,

we are using the below EVM board for our project,

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

PDK:- pdk_k2g_1_0_14

we need to make some changes in the SBL for our project purpose,

1) how we can change the SBL ?

2) is there any project available to change SBL?

3) how to build user defined MLO?

could you please tell us ASAP we are running out of time in our project.

Selvamthukumaran,

SBL is provided in full source in the PDK and sbl_main.c shows the main function that executes the SBL boot logic: Check the file here:

pdk_k2g_1_0_15\packages\ti\boot\sbl\board\evmK2G\sbl_main.c

There is no CCS project to build the SBL. The build infrastructure in PDK uses make file to build SBL and MLO.

What customization are you wanting to do in the SBL/MLO. The SOC initialization and board level initialization is managed in the board library and the boot image peripheral setup, loading, parsing and deployment is done in SBL.

board folder contains SBL implementation per TI supported platform
soc folder has the SOC and board specific initialization
src folder has peripheral and boot image parsing logic
tools folder has boot and flash utilities

Rahul,

in our project we need to customize PLL, DDR sections to make changes in the BSP for this we need to recompile the MLO also right?

how can i customize the DDR, PLL ?

Selvamuthukumaran,

In order to customize DDR and PLL setting, you first need to update the evmK2G board library, build the board library and then rebuild the MLO/bootloader binary to link to the updated board library.

Make sure that you

update the files : (evmK2G_ddr.c ,evmK2G_pll.c)
Rebuild Board
Rebuild SBL
