I'm designing my power supplies using TI webench power designer. I have three chips which use 1.8V. I would like to have one switching regulator for all these three chips to be able to switch ON and OFF these loads independently. i don't know how to make this give me switching regulators. Please help.

additional questions: im using TI MCU. is there anyway i can insert the exact MCU into the power designer? there is option to select FPGA load but there is no option for MCU load.

    Pragash,

    We do not support MCU's in the tool but we do support some FPGAs or microprocessors. You can choose them by clicking the "FPGA/uProcessor" button which is step 0 and choose from an available list of either FPGAs or uP's.

    Otherwise, you can always "Add Loads" manually and enter the voltage and current requirements for every load. If you want to control each 1.8V output independent of the other, you can enable the " Use Load Switch" checkbox for each of those 1.8V outputs on the "Add Loads" step. It looks from your screenshot that you shared, that you have already done this.

    Once done defining the requirements, you can then submit project requirements to see the available solutions. You can view further details on every rail and also look deeper into other design aspects. Please let us know if you have further questions.

    hi Amod,

    I have enabled "Use Load Switch" without sequencing. 

    The load switch (TPS22910A) appeared above has a single output. I was expecting a single load switch with two outputs. meaning one input and two independent voltage output.

     

    I have tried "use load switch" with "sequencing" as well. I'm still not able to get single load switch which able to switch between two outputs. 

    my question is why load switch with two outputs are not appearing in TI webench power designer? how to make them appear in webench power designer?

    Hi Pragash,

    Currently, the tool does not support all load switches especially multi-channel load switches so there is no way to use them in the tool. However, your actual implementation could have a multi-channel load switch like you are suggesting. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    the switch I suggested is 2 input and 2 output. is there any chip available with 1 input (voltage input) and 2 output (voltage output)?

    thanks. here is the question in the link below. I need better clarity to implement TPS22976. I'm interested in TPS22976 because TPS22976 is the most power efficient two channel load switch. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
