TIDA-01371: +(-)50V solution for portable ultra-sound solution.

Dear Sir:

               Our customer survey +(-)50V (400mA) for probe of  portable ultra-sound system. Does TI have solution for this kind of application? Their input is 8.2V lithium battery , Can I used LM5122 for +50V? What should I select for -50V solution? How about UC2572?

    Hi Jason,

    Sorry for the delay in replying.

    We have two TI Design for transmit power supply: TIDA-01352 and TIDA-01371. The TIDA-01352 is the SMPS for generating +/- voltage rails for the tranmit power supply. TIDA-01371 is floating regulator design for the Shear wave (or Elastography mode).

    Regarding your question, LM5122 can be used for generating both positive and negative outputs in Flyback configuration.

    BTW, we are working on one more design which uses LM3481, and generates up to +/-100 volts. It will be available in Feb 2018.
