What are the benefits of using ISO1541 (Low-power, Bi-directional I2C Isolator) in the implementation of low cost, high efficiency communication modules used in Industrial applications like UPS and Energy Storage banks?

  • TIDA-01281 is a TI Reference Design solution to help develop low cost, high efficiency, isolated RS-485, I2C & CAN communication modules, that are used in industrial applications like UPS and Energy Storage banks.

    ISO1541 is a low-power, bidirectional isolator that is compatible with I2C interface. This device is tested to provide isolation of 2500 VRMS per UL 1577 standard, with a transient immunity of 50kV/uS. In TIDA-01281, this device helps in communicating with other I2C enabled devices in a noisy environment, with the isolation barrier providing the ability to limit the noise from entering the main system ground and increasing the system immunity to noise.
