Hi,
The auxiliary winding used across boost inductor is only used for achieving ZVS or also some other function?.
thanks

hi,
In this design, here, it is used for ZCD only.
Hi, Yashwanth
It is part of the ZCD circuits, the voltage reverse, between Aux1A and Aux1B during off time, shows the current has crossed zero.
But, you can not turn on the active switch immediatly, because you need delay ~1/4 resonant time to wait for the Vds reaching zero.
Thanks a lot!
Hi, yashwanth
the two ZCD circuits are used for different function, combine these two circuits may be better.
The first one is used to test the sharp edge when ZVS loss, the controller would need delay the turn on time to recover ZVS;
The second one may generate a edge at the moment of the freewheeling switch (/body diode) turns off. But if we lost this edge before the active switch turns on, it means the resonant energy is not enough to realize ZVS for active switch, so we need to extend the freewheeling pulse to recover ZVS.
Hope it is helpful for you.
