Design circuit in Pspice as a gas detector

Hi,

I decided to design a circuit for 3-Lead Ethylene and Oxygen electrochemical sensor. But, I cannot find schematic for this purpose. Also, I need to simulate this circuits in Pspice as a gas detector which could show the percentage of detected gas. Could anyone help me? Thanks.

Hello Amir,

To my knowledge TI does not make electrochemical sensors, although we definitely make devices for signal conditioning of such sensors. Please see this reference design as a starting point.

The our important problem is the relation of between LMP IC and Sensors (For Example: C2H4 and O2 sensors). This means that, Does stated sensors match to LMP91000?

Amir,

It's important for you to read the data sheet very thoroughly. This device uses a trans-impedance amplifier. That means that it converts current into a voltage.

The data sheet does a good job of describing how the AFE works. The PSpice model is below.

Dear Amir -

the EVM and GUI for the LMP91000 supports the 4ETO and 7ETO sensors from City Tech.

if the sensor you are using is one of these or a "drop-in" then you should be able to realize a demo with the EVM and the GUI quickly.

I want to know just this subject: "Does LMP91000EVM support Ethylene (C2H4) gas sensor or not?" I decide to use LMP91000EVM for agriculture gas analyzer applications, and that is required using C2H4 gas sensor.

Yes, if the sensor is a two or three leaded electrochemical sensor -it should support it.
