TIDA-00951: Regarding TIDA-00951 max. current query

Part Number: TIDA-00951

Dear Team,

I want to discharge a battery of rating 51.2 V, and 78 A into the grid using this dc-dc bidirectional converter and Inverter. So, I can avail both charging and discharging into the grid based on Time of Use tariff. The limitation of the following product is the charging and discharging current is only 16 A. Can you suggest any other ti product meet this requirement.

Thanks

  • Hi, Anan

TIDA-00951 is designed with 2kW for backup and 1kW for charge mode. In backup mode, it can output 400V 5A in grid port; in charge mode, it can output 60V 16A in battery port.

Which products you are asking, and what is your question?

  • Thank you, sir, for your reply.

Greetings from the Indian Institute of Technology.

Actually I have a Li-ion battery of 4 kW (48V, 78 Ah.)  and want to ake it for V2G application by using Bi-directional DC-Dc converter and DC-AC inverter.

So, I think this 2 kW (TIDA - 00951) can boost from 48 to 400 V DC and then using that DC voltage we can use the bidirectional inverter to feed into or take from the grid.

Can you guide us with any of your products to fulfill our requirements?

  • Hi,

Please use F28035 as the controller and refer to TIDM-BIDIR-400-12 for the firmware code.

You need to design the power implementation with your specification, such as transformer, inductor, and choose proper power switches.
