CCS/CC1352P: Inability to read SSI of RF noise floor

Part Number: CC1352P
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2640R2F,

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello

On the CC2640R2F we are able to start RF receive and call the "RF_getRssi" function to read the noise floor (around -90dB). If there is any RF energy from a jamming device, it shows accordingly (around -45dB).

On the CC1352P, this does not appear to work. It seems to report a quiet noise floor, again around -90dB, but when a jamming device is presented, it remains at around -90dB.

Do the two devices use different methods to ascertain the background SSI? The SDKs in use are :

CC2640R2F : SimpleLink CC2640R2 SDK 3.10.0.15

CC1352P : SimpleLink CC13x2 26x2 SDK 3.40.0.02

Kind regards
