Hi All,

My client asked me to implement an API as when the peripheral receives a connection request from central, only if user presses a Key (left key), allows the connection is established. Is this possible? Can I postpone establishing a connection and add a condition like this? Is there any event code can inform me a request is received before accepting it?

Yes , but in these examples whenever the central device send a connect request, peripheral accepts it and connection is established. I need one more step to establish connection, I need to be informed once the central device asks for a connection request and only accept it if user presses the LEFT_KEY in the hardware. Is this possible?

Hi Masi,

unfortunately not. As soon as central device sends out the connection request it actually assumes the link valid and supervision timer is running. The same goes for the Peripheral when it receives the connection request. The only thing you could implement is to issue a disconnect of a button has not been pressed within a certain time after connection creation.

Thanks for your reply. I was hoping that CC26X2R1 supports Numeric Comparison. It seems that none of the other pairing options other than "Just Works Pairing" work, am I correct?

Do you know if any other LaunchPad kit supports this? However, as you mentioned I can just terminate the connection after it's established.

Either way, all authentication is done after connection has been created, per core specification.
