CC1312R: Working together with XDS110 JTAG

My customer use debugger XDS110 with below connection but it isnot working well.

Error condition :

　CC1312R（Customer）　XDS110 +++>>> Not work

　　　　　TMS　　　　　　TMS

　　　　　TCK　　　　　　TCK

　　　　　GND　　　　　　GND

　CC1312R（Customer board）LAUNCHXL-CC1312R1 +++>>> works well (Corrected.)

　　　　　TMS　　　　　　TMS

　　　　　TCK　　　　　　TCK

　　　　　GND　　　　　　GND

Here is error massage from CCS.

Error connecting to the target:

(Error -267 @ 0x0)

The controller could not detect valid target supply. Check target JTAG connection and/or connection setting specifying voltage level.

(Emulation package 8.1.0.00007)

Please kindly advice how to work with XDS110 debugger board with CC1312R?

You also need to connect RST/GND/VDD pins.

This is posted directly from my customer.

Receiver board with XDS 110 on LAUNCH XL_CC1312R1 It can be started by connecting with three TMS, TCK, GND,

but Similarly, three XDS 110 and receiver boards can not start even if three are connected That's the situation.

Correct my original input. as below

　CC1312R（Customer board）LAUNCHXL-CC1312R1 +++>>> works well

Make sure you also connect connect RST/VDD pins. It won't work if you only connect TMS, TCK, and GND.

YKs answer is still true. The minimum is VDD, GND, TMS, TCK, RST. VDD is needed either as supply or as "sense" voltage to give the level shifters on the XDS110 the correct reference.

You can connect 3V3 on LaunchPad to VDD. However, it seems that you connect power to your custom board so VDD should not be necessary. In your pictures, there is no connection on RST pin so you have to connect it.

I believe you have to connect VTref:

Input

This is the target reference voltage.
It is used to check if the target has power, to create the logic-level reference for the input comparators and to control the output logic levels to the target. It is normally fed from Vdd of the target board and must not have a series resistor.

The pictures does not contain enough detail to see which pins that are actually used.
