CC1312R: Pin compatibility of CC1312R1F3RGZR and CC1352P1F3RGZR

Hello.

We are considering CC1312R for Sub GHz communication. Cost and range is constraint in our design.

We want to consider CC1312R1F3RGZR for initial design and later if we face any issues in the range then we want to switch to CC1352P1F3RGZR (integrated PA )

We are considering RGZ package and both are of 48 pin package .  But I see that RF side pin outing is different for these chips . Is these pins are configurable ?

 Can we consider single footprint for this ? 

We want to use Sub GHz.  .Please let us know whether antenna tuning circuit  given in LAUNCHXL-CC1312R1 will work for both SOC  ?

Or please give us some design reference which can be considered for both SOC.

    Hi,

    Unfortunately CC1312R and CC1352P are not pin to pin compatible. So, the same board may not be useful.

    You can use the Antenna tuning circuit from the Launchpad but please note the Antenna tuning circuit must be tuned on the new design because of the Size of the board, Ground plane, vicinity of the components, casing, etc.. Please note that Antenna tuning must be done on a complete unit ( with casing).
