CC3220: SL_WLAN_DISCONNECT_ASSOC_TIMEOUT when connecting to an AP with SL_WLAN_ENT_EAP_METHOD_TLS

Hi,

With one customer I get the error SL_WLAN_DISCONNECT_ASSOC_TIMEOUT on our device using the cc3220, followed by a connection timeout.

The radius server reports the error: Supplicant stopped responding to ISE after sending it the first EAP-TLS message

With another device using the cc3200 and the exact same certificate set it's working fine.

And on our test setup the cc3220 works fine with a similar TLS connection.

Can you give me some clues as to when SL_WLAN_DISCONNECT_ASSOC_TIMEOUT is raised?

Hi Cedric,

I take it this is a unit deployed in the field that is showing this issue. Can you let me know the following -
1) Does the issue occur every time association is attempted at the customer site?
2) Does the same issue occur with every unit used by the customer?
3) Was the same CC3220 unit tested on your test setup or was it a different unit?

It sounds like the timeout occurred because both the CC3220 and the radius server stopped seeing the messages/responses during the authentication process.

A sniffer capture of the event would help to understand why the connection times out.

Issue was due to bad certificate handling on my side.
