Part Number: CC3120
I am testing the radio tool for CC3120. I have a setup with CC31xxEMUBOOST and custom board with CC3120R. I can connect to CC3120R with UniFlash tool and program CC3120, but I am having problem to connect CC3120 with Radio tool (v188.8.131.52). I do have RTS and CTS connected to CC3120. the service pack I used in the Wifi image is sp_184.108.40.206_220.127.116.11_18.104.22.168.
My question here is, does this combination works? I see some TI docs mentioned that the correct service pack need to be programmed to use for Radio tool. can someone confirm if the service pack I am using is correct?
another question is, should I just program CC3120 with service pack only?

Please see section 11 in the Radio Tool User's Guide, to ensure that you have all the necessary connections between the EMUBOOST and your custom board.
Then flash the device with your preferred image type found in the Radio Tool v22.214.171.124 directory <RadioTool-installation path>\Device Images\CC3120. Then see if you can connect to Radio Tool. I've just tried this with a CC3120 BoosterPack and I was able to successfully connect to the GUI.

I programmed CC3120 with the images come with radio tool. but I still have a problem to connect CC3120 to the Radio tool.
the User Guide is confusing. when CC31xxEMUBOOST connected to PC, there are four COM ports show up on device manage, just like Figure 3 of User Guide shows on page 4 (COM4-COM7). but on Figure 5 it shows the Radio tool is using COM7 to connect to CC3120. I remember the UniFlash is using third COM port (COM6) to program CC3120. Which port I should use for Radio tool?
Can I read back the image on CC3120?
I tried on one of CC3120BOOST board. And I can connect to it, although the service pack seems be old version: 126.96.36.199.188.8.131.52.0.2.2.0.6.

Ignore Figure 5 as this is under the CC3220 section.
On the EMUBOOST's J6 USB connector, it reads "SPI/GPIO/UART/NWP" on the silk. Note that SPI is the first and UART is the third of the 4 protocols printed.
This order is the same for the COM ports listed in device manager. The first one will be for SPI and the third will be for UART.
When you choose CC3120 SPI on RadioTool, use the first COM port listed. Similarly for CC3120 UART, use the third one. Uniflash uses UART, so that is why it uses the third.
