CC2538: Delay for CC2538 from Z-Stack 3.0

Hello,

I am using Z-Stack 3.0 on CC2538 and here I need to create a delay of around 1 or 2 sec, here can any one help me with the following queries:

1) Which all delay function are available in Z-Stack 3.0?

2) Is there any nonblocking delay that I can use, other than OSAL event timer?

As I know, you can only use OSAL event timer. There is no alternative.

Thank you yikai, will look into it.

Also is there any other delay that is direclty blocking and already present at system level.

As I know, there is no such function existing. However, you can try to refer to www.eistec.se/.../a02247.html and implement it accordingly.

Dear Yikai,

I tried using SysCtrlDelay to create the delay, but i am confused with its calculation, can you please help me clarify this.

I need to generate a delay of 1 second and I am using 32 MHz crystal, so my calculation is as follows:

1/32MHz = 3.125 x 10^-8

So the SysCtrlDelay function generates 3 NOP for every count:

3.125 x 10^-8 x 3 = 9.375 x 10^-8

So for 1 Second,

1/9.375 x 10^-8 = 10666666.

So for 10666666 ticks i should get delay of 1 second.

Is above calculation, right? If yes, than it not giving me delay of 1 seconds, the delay higher may be around 2 to 3 seconds.

I am not sure how to use SysCtrlDelay. Another alternatice is to use osal_GetSystemClock to count elapsed time is a while loop to implement delay function.
