Hello,

I am using SPPLEDemo from Bluetopia Stack v.4.0.2.2.

So I want to use Bluetooth LE as a serial port.

I have called the function RegisterSPPLE and the SPPLEServiceID is 3.

When I connect my notebook with Bluetooth module CC2564MODA via Bluetooth LE, there is no COM-port for this connection.

What do I have to do to create a COM-port for Bluetooth module in LE mode?

Hi wolfgang,

The SPPLE is not a standard BLE profile. It is a custom service running on top of GATT that has similar functionality to the BT classic SPP profile.

So the PC does not automatically know what SPPLE is unless you write some software for the PC to detect the SPPLE service (similar to the DiscoverSPPLE of the SPPLEDemo) and somehow emulate a COM port over it.

Hi Vihang,

I am using my bluetooth module only as slave and I called the function RegisterSPPLE.

Do I have to call some more functions to prepare my bluetooth module for a serial port with LE? Or is that enough?

Yes, the RegisterSPPLE and AdvertiseLE command after it is all that is needed for the server. you can find the demo guide at the link below :
