CC2564MODA: Is there a module that can run the bluetooth stack and is not low energy ?

Hi,

I was looking for a module that has antenna, bluetooth controller and a internal microcontroller but that not Low Energy. I found the CC2564MODA, but it does not have a internal microcontroller, so, I will need to run the Bluetooth stack in my host microcontroller, but, it is a Freescale not supported microcontroller. So, I would like to know, is there a module, like CC2564MODA, that can run internally the bluetooth stack and that doesn't be low energy ?

    Hi EuMesmo,

    The CC2564MODA is a certified module with integrated antenna based on the CC2564 Bluetooth controller IC. Just like the CC2564, the CC2564MODA also requires a host MCU/MPU running the Bluetooth Stack. There is no CC256x variant that has internal microcontroller.

    What are your overall system requirements regarding Bluetooth? What profiles you want to use and what is the use-case?

    Hi Vihang,

    I need to add bluetooth to my embedded hardware. The demand is not high, it is like a serial RS232 interface demand. The profile I want to use is a SPP profile. About the use case, I'm not sure if my answer will clear your doubt, but my intention is to use it to comunicate like a general serial RS232.

    I need to add that I have limitation in my host microcontroller and probably It can't run the bluetooth stack because it already has a lot of other tasks that can't be interrupted .
