CC2564: simple remote control app, which (BLE?) stack for simple no encryption data exchanged between smart phone and cc2564?

Hi everybody,

I am just wondering if there is a recommendation for the stack to use for no encryption simple data exchange (1 way or eventually bidirectional) in between the CC2564 and a smart phone connected in Bluetooth?

As I understand the BLE feature is only CC2564 to CC2564 or it can work from smart phone to CC2564? Which TI stack to use with the lowest power consumption?

CC2564's BLE will support connection to BLE compatibe device including smart phones.

Hello Hari, thanks for the answer. Which stack you recommend to use? If there are several stack that can be use, which one has the lowest memory footprint?

Hi Hari, do you know for example it the AVRCP stack is the most suitable for my needs? Is it BLE and can be used with Smart phones?

Do, you mean profile selection.. It depends on your use case. For simple data transfer (like serial), you may consider SPPLE (processors.wiki.ti.com/.../CC256x_TI_Bluetooth_Stack_SPPLEDemo_App).

Thanks Hari, yes sorry profile selection. is that possible to run just the GATT BLE profile as I dont need to send a lot of data and I dont need encryption and need only simple pairing? Only a BLE profile can be used with smart phone correct?
