CC2564C: BT4.2 Optional Features

Part Number: CC2564C

Hello,

my customer asks, which BT4.2 Optional Features are supported by CC2564C ?

I am not sure, if feature support is limited by device itself of stack implementation. Please advise.

Thank you

Martin

  • Martin,

There are many features in the BT4.2 spec that are optional. Is the customer asking for a specific feature?

In general, you can refer to the CC2564C listing (Declaration ID D032801 / QDID 87924) on the Bluetooth launch studio for the complete details regarding which features are supported and which ones are not on this device.

  • Hi Vihang,

unfortunately the information can not be obtained from the launch studio. Somehow the ICS Details are linked into a dead end.

Anyhow here are the key features that we are looking for:

    • LE Data Length Extension
    • LE Privacy 1.2
    • LE Secure Connection

    Best regards,

    Ingo

I am able to view the ICS report without any problem. Please note that you may need to be signed into the Bluetooth Launch Studio, before accessing the ICS reports.

LE Data Packet Length Extension - This feature is not supported by the CC2564C controller.

LE Privacy 1.2 - This feature is not supported by the CC2564C controller.

LE Secure Connections - This feature is implemented in the host stack. The TI Dual-mode Bluetooth Stack (link) for CC2564C support this feature.

  • Hi Vihang,

thanks for the reply - that answers the question - you can close this thread.

Regarding the launch studio I assume that only the owner of the listing can view the ICS. My own projects I can open, but not yours.

    Whatever the questions are answered.

    Best regards, Ingo
