Hi there,

i have the CC2650 Launchpad and i am having problem with the XDS110 Debuger.

First of all, i downloaded ther lastet CCS that is available and build my project with no error.

I also downloaded the latest embulation XDS110 packs and install under c:/ti/ccs/

So the CCS can also be updated if needed.

Than i pluged my Launchpad and saw that it runs the

Driver date: 25.11.2014

Driver Version: 1.6.0.0

So i went and aran cmd as admin on windows 64 bit and did

xdsdfu -m

xdsdfu -f firmware.bin -r

It ran with no problem and loaded the new emulation on to the XDS110 debuger.

The driver date and version are the same so i assume i have the latest installed.

Once i debug my project in to the Launchpad i got this errors messages:

Yes i did restarted CCS and Windows and got the same issues.

I also tryied to use CCS Cloud and got the same issues.

Looking at the Project propreties i have all settings done right:

So is the driver installed not the latest?

Any idea of what my cause this problem?

Try to install and start latest Flash Programmer 2 with XDS110 connected. It will check the FW of XDS110 and do FW update if XDS110's FW is too old.

Hi Chen,

i downloaded Flash programmer 2 and i tried to connect to the launchpad and i got this error:
>Unknown Device ID: XDS-L1001707
>Initiate access to target: XDS-L1001707.
>Failed to create device object.

Any idea? Do i only have to try to connect to the launchpad and see? or do i have to programm a hex file?

I pluged the launchpad out and back in and tryied again and this is what i got:

Try to download XDS Emulation Software Package version 6.0.14.0 from processors.wiki.ti.com/.../XDS_Emulation_Software_Package and update FW to your XDS110.

Hi Chen,

i downloaded and installed as admin and install this firmware to the board.
Then i wait until Windows installs its new drivers and tryied CCS again but i got this new error:

Error connecting to the target:
(Error -2131 @ 0x0)
Unable to access device register. Reset the device, and retry the operation. If error persists, confirm configuration, power-cycle the board, and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK).
(Emulation package 6.0.83.1)

Can you use Flash Programmer 2 to download prebuilt hex file under BLE Stack installation folder\accessories\HexFiles to your CC2650 Launchpad successfully?

Hi Chen,

i downloaded this hex file and tryied to programm it with Flash Programmer 2:

But i got this error message:

>Initiate access to target: XDS-firmware.

>Create XBAL object failed: Target connect failed

>Failed to create device object.

The funny thing is that on MAC OS it is working but on windows it doesnt.

Is there any factory reset that i can do?

It sounds that your CC2650 Launchpad has something wrong. I suggest you to ask for replacement from www.ti.com/.../faq-returns-and-refunds.page
