cc2650 SensorTag blinks 3 times, then pauses.

Hello, working with iOS.  TI app does not not find sensorTag, sensorTag does blink green, in segments of 3 in a row, or 1 followed by a long pause. I have 5 other sensorTags that all blink green at regular intervals when emitting advertising data.  I do not have a debugger and just purchased these new.

  • Hi,

It might be loaded with a different software, did the product come with a manual describing how to change the software?

    Best wishes
  • Hello Travis,

In addition, please try the factory reset procedure which is described under "Use of buttons" in the SensorTag User's Guide on the TI BLE Wiki.

    Best wishes
  • It did not come with a manual on how to change the software on the device.  the wiki docs say -

    • Both buttons pressed for six seconds: factory settings are restored, i.e. the BLE image programmed at the factory is loaded from external flash and executed. This operation is only recommended if you have are using a ZigBee image and want to return to BLE operation.

this does not fix the problem.  I called TI sales to request a return of the item and was denied, even though I had just received them in the mail.

  • I did try this

*Both buttons pressed for six seconds: factory settings are restored, i.e. the BLE image programmed at the factory is loaded from external flash and executed. This operation is only recommended if you have are using a ZigBee image and want to return to BLE operation.
  • Hello,

To eliminate a low battery issue, please try swappign the battery from a known good SensorTag to this unit. If you still observe the same behavior, it appears your unit was not programmed properly. I apologize for the inconvenience. Assuming you purchased these units from the TI eStore, please contact them for an RMA or exchange. You can reference this thread.

    Best wishes
