Hi Team,
If a customer using CC2640 does not have the bandwidth or time to evaluate/port over to BLE Stack v3.0.0 that runs on CC2640R2F today, but still want to include R2F hardware in their current product to take advantage for Bluetooth 5 features at a later date (replacing existing CC2640), would they still be able to run our v2.2.1 stack on the CC2640R2F and eventually migrate to v3? Of course, this would mean they don't get to take advantage of the extra flash space initially, but that is not the concern right now. Are there software implications since we moved alot of stuff over to ROM?
After some thinking, I'm assuming this is not possible, otherwise we would probably NRND CC2640 and move everyone to CC2640R2F. If someone could please confirm, that would be great. If you could also explain why or why not, for my understanding, I'd appreciate that also. Thanks!
