I understand that so far Bluetooth 5 is being supported on the CC2640R2F.

Will there be a BT5 stack released that will run on the CC2650?

This is for a multi-protocol radio and we'd like it to be forward compatible with BT5.

Hello,

BT5 support will be offered on CC2640R2F only. There is no support of BT5 on CC2650 or CC2640 (R1).

In CC2640R2, I understand that the BT stack is moved to ROM.

Can we use the flash available in the device to implement other proprietary protocols (similar to CC2650) or is the M0 based soft-modem locked down in such a way to prevent this?

Also, CC1350 has BT as well- is there a plan to support BT5 on CC1350?

At this time TI has only announced BT5 support on the CC2640R2F.

I also have an interest in using BT 5 on the CC1350 as my use is not power constrained and we like the Sub 1GHz capability. Is there a version of the CC1350 planned that *will* support BT 5?
