LAUNCHXL-CC2650: CC2650 Disconnects from Android phone at 3m range

Hi,

We are designing our product using CC2650MODA. For that we are testing the BLE range using LaunchXL.

We are using the SimpleBLEPeripheral project. The maximum range we are able to stay connected is 3m. If it is more than 3m, the device disconnects from the android.

Is it something expected? What is the maximum range achievable with CC2650 while transmitting 32kbps of data?

Hi Bharath,

Are you testing with the BoosterPack or your own custom board? If you test with another BLE device (not the Android device), do you experience the same range issue?

Hi Rachel,

We are using our own custom board. We have followed all the design guidelines provided by TI.

We do not have any other BLE device to test our application.
