CC2530 DK ver 1,5: where are "rf_moden" and "simple_hid" files?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2530

Hi,

I am quite new to WIndows. A week ago, I bought the CC2530 Development Kit and am going to try the "rf_modem" example but I could not find the sample code either in the CD included in the kit or in the /Cygwin/c/Program Files/IAR Systems after the installation. Medias included in the kit was the CD that is marked with "IAR EW8051-8.20.2"

"CC USB Software Example Users Guide(swru222.pdf)" says The IAR workspace is located in the sub-folder ‘ide’ just below the root of the ins tallation.

What is the "intallation" or "installation (dir)"?  Was the installation of the IAR unsuccessful? Or A sample code was missing in the package.
Thanks,
Masaki
  • First you have to find out where you actually installed the files. The .eww file is under ide\srf05_cc2530\iar or under ide. Try to search for the files you are missing on your pc.

  • TER,

Thank you very much for the URL. I downloaded the example package from the url, built it with a difficulty in linking due to a missing file, downloaded it to the module and then eventually successfully ran the firmware.

PS:  I ran some `find ...` to see if the example package had been installed somewhere, but nothing found. I reinstalled the "IAR EW8051-8.20.2" into the same Win box again looking very carefully at dialog boxes during the installation, but the installer did not tell me about the installation directory for the example package. I installed the IAR into the default dir, which is c:/Program Files/IAR. On several layers under this, there are four folders that carry company names but TI is not in there. I am wondering if the "Program Files" dir has some wrong owner/permission settings which are unfriendly to the installer.

    Thank you very much,

    Masaki
