Wideband Spectrum Analyzer

I have a requirement for a low cost wideband spectrum analyzer and wondered if something like the CC430 family could somehow be used to meet this. (For example, could the MSP-EPCC430FRx be modified?)

I don't need to know specific levels, ie: -50dBm, but relative, the signal at 550 MHz is 10 dB below that 640MHz. There is no need to be able to transmit.

The requirement is to be able to scan from around 50 MHz up to "near" 1GHz. There is no specific requirement for the bandwidth of the detector, but the narrower the better.

Thanks for pointers.
