CC1110 - Read/Send data to UART

Hi.

I used a function that send one character by UART and I correctly saw the signal on the oscilloscope. I used the board SRF04.

But, with a board that I built, and with the same code, I see nothing on my board.

What could be the problem?

Thanks

  • Have you done some basic testing on your board?

    - Does the MCU part of CC1110 work as intended?

    - Do you manage to send a CW on the wanted frequency?

    - Do you read out the expected RSSI when you have a signal in your channel?

  • Yes, my board works perfectly.

Put leds flashing, read the ADC, communicate with AP ...

    I don't use frequency agility/hopping and I have a good RSSI. I get a range of 2.5Km with frequency of 434MHz. I use ever channel 0.

  • Your first problem description lacked some information.

If I have understood you correctly your board works correctly sending/ receiving  packets but when you are trying to use the UART with known good software you don't get anything on the air.

If my understanding is correct it sounds like a hardware issue, eq that that your board either have a schematic error or a fabrication error. Is the UART related parts of your board equal to SFR04? What is different between the boards?
