Sub 1 Ghz RF certification (ETSI, FCC)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1120

Hi,

We have made a design based on CC1120 and MSP430 on 868Mhz/915Mhz.

I would like to sale it as a product, which type of certification's do I need?

Is there some tutorial for these issues?

The design is strait forward: just CC1120 and MSP 430 transmitting at 0->10dBm at about 100kbps short packets of about 16 bytes including all headers(sync word, preamble included)

Each packet is transmitted in an interval of 0.5-3 seconds

Thanks,

Yaniv

  • The best is to contact a lab that does certification. First, find out which standard you want to comply with (Typ EN300220 for ETSI and 15.247 for FCC. In addition EMI testing has to be done).

Add test code to your product making testing easy (typ be able to send a CW and random data etc)
