CC1120 user manual varification

SWRU295A user manual. Please explain the difference between figure 25 (Rx_Time_Qual=0) and figure 26 (Rx_Time_Qual=0 & Ant_Div_Term_CFG=1).

In figure 25 the Rx continues although the CS drops and in figure 26 the Rx stops when the CS drops.

  • Hi

Figure 25 shows what is going on for different RX_TIME_QUAL settings. It is assumed that ANT_DIV_RX_TERM_CFG = 0. The RX_TIME_QUAL setting determines what is happening when the RX timeout expires. When RX_TIME_QUAL = 1, the radio will continue in RX if there is sync found, or if a preamble or CS is present at the time of the timeout. When ANT_DIV_RX_TERM_CFG = 0, the radio will always stay in RX for the minimum time of the RX timeout.

When ANT_DIV_RX_TERM_CFG = 1, the radio will check the carrier as soon as CS_VALID is asserted (it will not wait for the timeout to check). If there is a carrier, it will continue in RX. When the timeout occurs, it will remain in RX or terminate based on the RX_TIME_QUAL setting.
