CC1200 can not go to the TX mode after i finish writting the TX FIFO?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC1200

i finish setting the regs and writting TX FIFO  then i write the STX strobe, but i get the status is"0x0f", is it "idle"?  how can i make the cc1200 go into the TX mode?

  • Hi

The status byte received on the SPI interface when sending the STX strobe will be IDLE as the chip will not exit IDLE before the strobe is sent. If you are sending a SNOP strobe after the TX strobe, what is the status showing you then? What is the MARCSTATE register retuning when reading it?

  • thank you very much! i have solved the problem when i set a delay() after the TX strobe, then i get the status of "TX".

may i ask you another question?

I have two TI's development boards, TMDXLCDK138. I wrote a module to configure the SPI0's CS , SIMO, SOMI, ENA pin as the GPIO pins . one board is normal. But  another board's pins can not get the right logic waves. its  registers seem right. but the pins are  always low, no output waves.

there are two difference i can find:

    (1) the bad board before Simulation must press the key of the reset.

(2)on the bad board the D7 is always light but in the right board D7 is not work.

what is the problem of the board?  is it the port of the SPI0 damaged?

  • Hi

This forum only support the radio you are using. To get support on the kit, you should post your request in the OMAP forum.
